When replacing the fan of a viscous clutch, it is essential to make sure that the new fan has the same size as the replaced one. 

However, even if the diameter of both fans and the measures of the clutch support are the same, the aerodynamic power consumption could be very different. 

The activation temperature is one of the most important features of a viscous clutch. This feature varies depending on the type of fan in which the clutch is assembled. We show you an example with images!

In the first case, the clutch would be coupled at 70ºC, and in the second case at 95ºC.
