As a consequence of the automation of vehicle transmission systems, gearbox valves have evolved considerably in the last years.

The first designs of these components are based on entirely-pneumatic valves, as this one, that were mechanically actuated.

However, over time, the need to shift gears in a faster and more synchronised way led to valves with electronic control.

One of the different functions of these valves is to manage the range shift or the shift in the splitter group, mechanisms aimed to control the gear shift.

The new valve designs include most functionalities in one single module in order to simplify their installation in the vehicle and have a more compact system.
